Project Overview

The project involved the design and construction of a new 90,000 square foot synthetic turf field within the footprint of the existing soccer field, fully enclosed with perimeter fencing.

Key Features & Design Elements

• High-Performance Synthetic Turf System:  The field uses AstroTurf Root Zone 3D3 (2″), providing a durable, consistent playing surface for a wide variety of sports and activities.

• Integrated Drainage Infrastructure:  The design features a stabilized stone base with geotextile separation to support field stability and longevity. A panel drain underdrain system connects to a perimeter collection pipe, efficiently managing stormwater.

• Engineered Grading for Optimal Playability:  The field subgrade is constructed with a 1% slope to ensure positive flow through the underdrains. The finished turf surface is graded at 0.5% to guarantee consistent, high-quality play.

• Concrete Perimeter Curb:  A concrete curb with integrated fence posts defines and protects the field limits, providing a secure and durable anchoring point for the turf system and fencing.

This project delivers a state-of-the-art athletic facility featuring a resilient, well-drained playing surface, enhanced field safety, and long-term performance, supporting a variety of athletic programs and community events.
