Druthers Brewing Company
of Clifton Park
Project Overview
Druthers Brewing Company has opened a new 10,000± SF restaurant and microbrewery on a 5.3± acre site on Southside Drive in Clifton Park, just a quarter mile from EDP’s office and directly across from the new 32-acre Town Center Park. The Environmental Design Partnership (EDP) provided landscape architecture and site engineering services, including the design concept, final site planning, and an uncompromising conservation-focused landscape for this expansive outdoor restaurant, bar, and beer garden.
Key Features
- The site features a large custom-built barn-style brewpub, extensive outdoor dining areas, and a beer garden designed for both passive and active recreation, including space for bocce ball and yard games.
- The landscape design emphasizes conservation, retaining a significant number of existing trees to create a lush, high-canopy, park-like setting, and incorporates native plants, boulders, and a dry river bed for natural aesthetics.
- The project prioritizes bicycle and pedestrian access, replacing large parking lots with attractive public spaces and walking paths to align with the Town’s development goals for a more walkable commercial center.
- The location offers direct connectivity to the new Town Center Park, enhancing the community’s recreational and social opportunities.
Results
Druthers Brewing Company’s Clifton Park location has become the largest Druthers site to date, providing a vibrant destination for dining, recreation, and community gatherings. The project sets a new standard for outdoor hospitality in Southern Saratoga County, supporting the Town’s vision for a lively, pedestrian-friendly commercial district and offering a unique, conservation-minded experience for visitors.
